
In an article reporting on CEOs’ advocacy to mandate AI and computer science classes in high schools, Axios cited a by 91ÊÓÆµ of Maryland researchers detailing the benefits of computer science courses at the high school level.
The study, authored by Assistant Professor in Education Policy Jing Liu, economics Ph.D. candidate Cameron Conrad and Associate Professor in Education Policy David Blazar, found that students who were exposed to a high-quality computer science class in high school earn 8% higher salaries at age 24 than their peers, regardless of their career choice or whether or not they attend college.
